The Nepal Project
The Nepal Project was started by Emma Gootee, a research assistant at Johns Hopkins. Crafting Change has partnered with Emma to help get donations of medical supplies, PPE, handmade masks and cleaning supplies to Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital in Nepal. At Crafting Change, our number one mission remains pandemic relief and we are proud to support Emma and her efforts to help Nepal. Covid-19 is ravaging the country and you can help.
About 40% of Covid-19 tests are coming back positive and Nepal has just 2000 ICU beds and 600 ventilators for a population of 30 million. (StatNews 5/26/21).
Not only that, but the healthcare delivery system is vastly different than that in America with family members coming in direct contact with Covid 19 patients in the hospital, often without masks. Watch the short video below to hear more details.
Join us in supporting The Nepal Project. We can't do it without you. You play THE vital role in getting the needed supplies to Chitwan, Nepal. Please consider making a donation today.

How are we using donated funds?
All funds donated to Crafting Change for The Nepal Project will be used to pay shipping expenses to get donated supplies to Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital. Crafting Change volunteers are organizing the donation of masks for the patients and families. Emma Gootee is arranging the donation of medical equipment and supplies. Due to the rural location in Nepal it is extremely expensive to ship items to Chitwan and there are very limited shipping options. We are arranging the logistics, we just need the financial help to make it happen!
If you are a medical facility or vendor and would like to donate N95, ventilators or oxygen tanks please contact .
