Beyond Basic Needs was founded to give loved ones a tangible way to support someone facing a cancer diagnosis. Their mission is to turn care into action, providing an easy and meaningful way for support networks to uplift and comfort those in treatment.

For Cancer Warriors undergoing chemotherapy, they provide Chemo Care Kits with the belief that these kits inspire, uplift, and help our community thrive during this challenging time.

1. Port Pillows

Use our winged port pillow pattern, designed for comfort during treatment.

Please stuff very full so they offer support and good protection. They should feel firm, not squishy.

2. Chemo Caps

Sewn chemo caps are the top priority.

Any sewn pattern is fine except scrub caps.

Please ensure no exposed seams, as these can irritate tender scalps.

We do have recommended patterns available on our site, but you’re welcome to use your own.

Knit and crochet caps are also appreciated.

Please avoid Addi/Sentro-style hats, as they are better suited for cold weather and not ideal for chemo patients.

Currently collecting adult-sized caps for all genders.
